“A Couple of Millennials Trying to Grope Their Way Toward Adulthood…”

Posted by Hopeful

Mafia poodles Robinson & Kovite

The header is from a NY Times review of a book by the above pair, no irony intended (I presume).

Knox supports murderer Brendan Dassey and Avery, has a boyfriend who wears dark fingernail polish (some man!?), has a cat named Mr. Screams, and received a blue glass award from Arizona Public Defender Association in June 2018 “for sharing your inspiring story”.

You can’t make this stuff up (or can you), in Knox’s case the ultimate fantasist liar who has always wanted to mythologize her own life, she’s a born actress prostitute seeking to be Amelie but is Jekyll-Hyde and had to cannibalize Meredith’s clean life to morph into notoriety.

Now she links up with Christopher Robinson who can play paparazzi to her diabolical story while she allows him to wear the crazy hats, necklaces, fur and outlandish clothes that force her to become the opposite: Miss Demure, Miss Meredith, Miss Speaker at Innocence Conventions, Supporter of the Oppressed, Miss I-Know-the-Law, I have lived through controversy, I’m a Survivor, I am Wrongly Accused, I now dress modestly, this is my classy side,

I am allowing Chris to be the wild child of this use and be-used duo. Chris wrote his first novel with good friend Kovite, an Army veteran, titled “War of the Encyclopaedists”. Now in May 2018 they’ve got a new book out called, “Deliver Us”. I think Chris may mean deliver us from evil as in Knox. And guess where the two friends met? In Italy.

Kovite writes for Salon:

Our collaboration began 10 years ago in rome on a pilgrimage to Keats’ grave as part of an undergraduate study abroad. We had known each other only a few weeks. While wandering through the Protestant Cemetery the names of the dead called out to us: Baltimore Gosshawk Wakefield III, Aeneas MacBean Esq. They were begging to be turned into characters is a pulp historical mystery novel. So we wrote one. It took us five years and it eventually ended up in a drawer but it taught us how to write…together. Over the last five years we applied those lessons to a more serious project, “War of the Encyclopaedists.” (Scribner, 2015)

“Several years ago as we struggled toward a finished draft of “War of the Encyclopaedists”, Chris fell into an existential pit. He was thinking about culinary school, his five-year relationship dissolved, he was living out of a suitcase at one artist colony after another, he wrote a collection of nihilistic sonnets, he was thinking about suicide. Without stability his options were limitless; he was paralyzed by choice….Gavin (Kovite) meanwhile was looking toward his future as a lawyer with dread. This wasn’t the life he’d imagined for himself. He had little time to play music or write fiction, which, though fun was a big additional burden, as anyone who has written while working fulltime well knows.”

“And yet here we are awaiting publication of our debut novel (this was in 2015)...Without Chris’ drive, organization and friendly harassment, Gavin would never have made the time to contribute. And without Gavin’s contribution, Christ would be staring into the void. It was writing a novel together ... that deepened our friendship, changed the course of our lives.”

from Salon, “Why write a collaborative novel? Well…why write alone?”

Christopher Robinson is a Boston University and Hunter College MFA graduate, a poet, a MacDowell Colony fellow, etc. His co-author Gavin Kovite was infantry platoon leader in Baghdad 2004-2005, then attended NYU Law, served as Army lawyer and is now a high school teacher….Together Robinson and Kovite authored “Encyclopaedists” and “Deliver Us”.

I just hope that Knox does not destroy their good relationship. It sounds like a Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson friendship of the minds. I think Knox will sabotage it and Chris was crazy to link up with her. Now he has his new novel out, “Deliver Us” about drones from Jeff Bezos dropping items on a futuristic Detroit and the question is “are they saviors to Detroit black low earners bringing jobs to the blighted city or imperialists out for their own gain?” as one book review said. I wonder if Kovite worried about this in Afghanistan?

But I think the hidden message of Chris Robinson’s “Deliver Us” is that he is questioning his Amanda Knox relationship (why not put a ring on it, Chris?) and already regrets slumming around. It’s a true cry of “deliver us from evil”. A bit late Chris. Do you even care if Knox killed Meredith or not?

Knox was to moderate the book launch of “Deliver Us” because of “her experience with controversy, competing narratives and commitment to racial justice in the Innocence Movement.” Barf. That was a book launch in May 2018 at Elliott Bay Book Co. in Seattle.

She will explode his life out of the water one day but more fool him for shacking up with a killer. It was Guermantes’ link to Chris Robinson Instagram that led me to look at some of his nonsense. I honestly believe he is mentally ill along with his live-in lover. Chris Robinson posts Instagram pix of multiple toilets out on some grassy area. He posts a piece of art of a woman on the toilet. He uses foul language constantly.

And michellesings1 (wife of this poodle) laughs at the trash they post. When their cat, Mr. Screams, sleeps on Amanda’s “bottom” she writes Hee hee, hilarious. When Knox gives a speech, michellesings1 chimes in, Love it, happy for you.

Chris Robinson must have serious tunnel vision regarding Knox.

Today its Monday 12 November. Tomorrow Italy goes eyeball to eyeball with the European Union. Good description here of what the government has in its draft budget that the EC does not want.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-11-12/europe-takes-a-deep-breath-as-action-against-italy-approaches

Italy has until Tuesday to send in a fresh budget after its first draft was rejected by the commission last month. But the administration’s determination to stick to its plan to boost benefit spending, cut taxes and lower the retirement age has left the EU executive in Brussels with little choice, officials say.

The scale of Italy’s budget blowout—reversing years of effort to contain the country’s debts—is far beyond what the EU could accept. Some officials even see it as a deliberate provocation. And the bloc is already under pressure from its members to defend budget rules that have been bent almost to the breaking point in recent years.

Actually neither side has it right.

At core this is a systemic fault of adopting a common currency (the Euro) in absence of geographically universal growth measures (eg for the south of Italy). It goes back many years.

To understand it (as the EC does not) take a look at the US which has PART of the answer in place but not the whole.

Part 1:

The US has a single currency too, the dollar, and wildly different growth rates too, within its whole area.

So unlike the EC it transfers via the IRS and Federal budget hundreds of billions of dollars from the high growth areas (eg from New York) to the low growth areas every year.

https://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2014/05/which-states-are-givers-and-which-are-takers/361668/

Most Americans dont even know this (let alone see any gratitude!) and it just never seems to come up in the politics and is locked in stone.

The financial crisis in 2008-09 (caused by some within the high-growth areas) made the low-growth-areas problem substantially worse.

Millions in low-growth areas lost their homes and in other ways saw their wealth and prospects sharply decline.

Part 2.

The US does not have even an inkling of a model for putting the low growth areas on their feet, and hence, well, Trump. Nor does the EC.

If the low-growth areas in both Italy and the US are ever to turn themselves around, I’d suggest two rules.

1. They need highly participatory processes middle-up and bottom-up, focused on growing what value they can, and putting in numerous new systems for that.

2. All “advanced” governments should have what many “developing” countries had which is a national budget in two parts, one showing recurring or maintenance spending, and one showing the capital/investment spending vital to growth.

For both of these, in both the EC and US, there has never been a more promising time.

Tuesday morning. The EC/Italy standoff continues.

But it seems the EC and Italy may have found something to agree on. It’s not any of the above though (which Italy could very well be the one to lead Europe into).

It’s that, under the government’s “growth stimulus plan” it will stick to, Italy will grow very, very slowly in 2018-2020.

The slowest of the 18 members, though the average of all of them will be around a mere 1.5 percent. .

Headsup to Cardiol, Machine, and others of us in the UK who are up to speed on their UK soccer news and club owners.

UK billionaire Joe Lewis, the owner of Tottenham Hotspurs, was in Manhattan for much of the last three months and staying on his yacht Aviva on the Hudson. It was never revealed what he was doing here.

But now the NY art world is abuzz with rumors in advance of an art auction this thursday at which David Hockney’s beautiful “Portrait of an Artist (Pool with Two Figures)” may go for $80 million, a record for a living artist.

Unique in high-price art sales, there seems to be no reserve price or other hedging. Joe Lewis is RUMORED to be the seller who is playing this very high-stakes game.

It may be that he was in Manhattan for a major rearrangement of his billion-dollar art collection (some of which is on the Avivas). Pick up the thread here and stay tuned thursday.

Post-noon thursday. We’ll know the Hockney auction outcome tonight, the bidding for the auction as a whole starts at 7:00 pm.

Re the Brexit muddle in the UK (big anti demo in London tonight) Prince Charles of all people just made me laugh.

Fifth draw today in the world chess in London. Neither won a game yet. And even more odd - in most years, we have no snow before Christmas.

The price for Joe Lewis’s Hockney painting which he kept on his larger Aviva yacht exceeded “expectations” whatever they are by over $10 million. No word it seems on the buyer.

David Hockney's 'Portrait of an Artist (Pool with Two Figures)' makes a splash and sets a new #WorldAuctionRecord for a living artist, receiving $90,312,500 at auction https://t.co/TiyinVRCAs pic.twitter.com/1z7RRpEpPs— Christie's (@ChristiesInc) November 16, 2018

I saw the painting recently at the Met Museum along with other Hockneys and was surprised at how large it is (10 feet from side to side). You think the pool is set in southern California? Actually it is at the summer house in Provence in France of the British film director Tony Richardson, father of Joely and the late Natasha Richardson. Pretty good story to it.

Michelle Moore unquestioningly believed every single PR lie in a biased, one-sided and error-ridden documentary about the case and she became a true believer. She doesn’t have the intellectual capacity to realise she was watching PR propaganda because she is like a naive and gullible child.

Her whole raison d’être was to support Amanda Knox. She and Steve Moore joined the hardcore group of Amanda Knox’s creepy and obsessive supporters and their lives revolved around advocating on Knox’s behalf and socialising with the other members of this perverse cult. When Amanda Knox was acquitted in 2011, it left a huge void in her life. There is something truly pathetic and disturbing about her taking vicarious pleasure in every silly little thing Amanda Knox does. She needs professional psychiatric help.

If your stomachs can bear it, I’ve attached below the video of the moment that this pair of freaks decided to get married. I guess the only positive is that hopefully no normal person gets duped into any romantic involvement with either moron in the future.

The scenario itself is pretty well done to be fair and you’d be happy for any normal couple. All bets are off where these two are concerned. Chris describes him and Amanda as “a power couple” during this 6 minute clip so the delusions of adequacy are as strong in him as they are in our least favourite killer.

I thought at first that she seemed to live in a nice, spacious, home but it turns out it is her grandmother Oma’s place. Maybe they’ve moved out of the basement of Chris’s parents. Leeches and parasites don’t mind which host they suck dry!

@davidmulhern, Thanks for link to the Knox-Robinson coalescence craziness. More on that insanity later.

I am sorry for your father’s serious illness, just read about it today. May he get a full healing and restoration or great mercies in whatever form they’re needed.

The video of Knox’s marriage proposal is clever in some ways, give credit where due, but she seems all too giggly, silly and for an honor student she can barely read the meteor’s message on the “rock”. Perhaps it was the dark lighting, but she stumbles over the text as lover keeps asking her what it says.

She pretends awe, confusion, stagefright, laughs and plays the comic the entire time. She puts her hand over her mouth in pretended amazement but really to hide her true facial and verbal reaction when Robinson pops the “will you marry me?” question. Her answer doesn’t even sound sincere, not deeply.

It does give one pause. As for the wedding, I’ll believe it when I see it.

Thank you davidmulhern for the comforting truth that at least if these two nutters link up for life, many others will be spared untold agonies. The idea that they are a “power couple” is ludicrous and I think the mutually assured destruction is inevitable. Interesting gloss that he and Knox seem to be living in her Oma’s house. All I can think about now when Robinson is mentioned is how he and his best friend in the world, Gavin Kovite (not Knox), met in a cemetery in Rome, a place of death. Echoes of Rafaelle’s cemetery decorating business and Knox’s involvement with death. Robinson’s family must be aghast at his choice of bride, but on the bright side, these two are saving others the misery of getting lured into a relationship with their madness.

I’ve been back online to Nick van der Leek’s books led there by accident by a link to the Chris Watts murder case. (Chris Watts Aug. 2018 murdered wife and 2 children in fit of rage in Frederick, Colorado).

Van der Leek wrote a trilogy of kindle books about Meredith’s case. You can buy them on Amazon. His first book about Knox was “Deceit”. The reviews by Knox PR trolls were vicious against Nick van der Leek, back in 2015.

Thanks @Hopeful, very much appreciated.

I see la Knox continues her thinly disguised goading of those who know who and what she is by tweeting the following on 8 December:

“Are y’all obsessed with The Good Place? Cuz I am.”

I’ve been watching The Good Place on Netflix and, at times, it is excellent. Not consistently enough for me but it has some wonderful moments. Ted Danson, whom I’ve been a fan of since “Cheers”, is also in it.

The basic premise is that it’s set in “The Good Place” of the title which is where good people go when they die. The (anti) heroine is a girl who was morally and ethically bankrupt when alive but has been placed in the good place by mistake. All sorts of chaos ensues as a variety of catastrophes occur due to things being out of kilter in the good place, as it were.

I think I’m about ten episodes in now and get the feeling that there will be a great redemption at some point as the main character starts to understand her character flaws and mends her ways. I could be wrong but we’ll see!

Now, whatever could have led the Seattle shrew to be attracted to such a tale, I wonder?
