Sollecito Has Some Company: Another Mafia Relative Broke And Begging… Good Luck With That

Posted by Peter Quennell

Anthony Ciavarello with his wife, the daughter of Toto Riina

How very touching….

Son-in-law of Italy’s most feared mobster reduced to begging for money on Facebook…

“Hello everyone. Unfortunately, I need to ask for help to those who know me” Ciavarello said in a Facebook post that linked to a fund-raising page.

“I promise you that I will give you everything back when I get back on track with work, or we will help others who are in need.

“I am in a disastrous situation. They took everything and I don’t even have a job now as they took my business. Who can help me, please do so as I have three children.

I am looking for a job but nobody gives one to me. Please give me a hand. Thank you and may God bless you.”

That International Business Times (UK) report was about Anthony Ciavarello.

Toto “Boss of All Bosses” Riina was the former head of the Sicilian Cosa Nostra who was locked up in the 1990s and recently his release on health grounds was denied.

Ciavarello had married Toto’s daughter. Obviously not such a good career move, although we don’t see signs that Anthony himself was a made man.

It’s widely recognised in Italy that the beleaguered mafias and other public nuisances sustain an endemic three pronged campaign to pervert justice and turn trials in their favor.

    1) Assassinate the prosecutors and judges assigned to mafia cases. Over 100 in recent years have been assassinated.

    2) Bend the laws in parliament. Bent laws excessively favoring defendants have greatly affected this case.

    3) Flame the justice system and those who work for it. The pro-Knox pro-Sollecito campaign has definite mafia fingerprints.

In Sollecito’s case there was apparently a fourth angle, which has resulted in himself and Amanda Knox walking free but has left them too without much in the way of incomes. We reported on the growing proof here.

Both often have their hands out for cash. Far from the only panhandlers in their campaigns.

On this date October 30 ten years ago Raffaele had a few days previously met Amanda Knox at a music concert. He threw caution to the wind and hooked up with this unknown American firebrand.

She herself didn’t know the meaning of the word caution or restraint. Her drug use at UW was a sign of that. In Perugia it would escalate, drugs and alcohol and late night hours and exhaustion. So the folly began.

The tempest soon overtook them. Passion and madness and unresolved anger from the past swept Knox away on a cold November night in Italy.

Raffaele’s scarred past was converging with hers and their drug induced frenzy cost them dearly, not to mention the cost to Meredith the beautiful innocent who became their fatal target. Her sweetness and sanity and balanced life of love and unselfishness inflamed them.

Meredith was lovely, happy, ambitious, smart but modest. She was in Italy improving herself and striving for success to make her family proud. This excellent blend of goals and discipline was a reproach to the two mad dogs seeking instant gratification and extreme emotions, lashing out at a world that had wounded and deprived them, to their way of thinking.

Knox and Sollecito had only known one another for a few days by October 30th, 2007. Amanda was gearing up for Halloween parties in Perugia hoping for some wild escapade, some audacious destruction or adventure.

It was at this late October time that Knox basically ran amok or went mad or somehow snapped and dished all her animosities onto an innocent Meredith.

A decade has passed, ten whole years.

This October 2017 Knox is looking toward the November 2017 nuptials of her sister Deanna and continuing to lie about November 1st, 2007.

After Meredith’s murder Knox wrote an email full of lies, then expanded it into a book full of lies. No matter to her as long as her photo is on the cover.

Will Knox prevail in deceiving the world about her innocence in the decades to come?

Probably not.

“Truth is the daughter of time.”

I shouldn’t be laughing about the article, but I am.  Can’t help it.

Amanda Knox, you can live a life of pretence as much as you like.
But to anyone who has researched the case, it is obvious you are guilty.
Come on, admit it, you would prefer to be in prison and serve the deserved time.

Got a nice note from Dan Barry, NYT journalist. Read his Sunday special report on the Tuam “home babies.” He is conferring with his editors regarding a possible investigative piece on the case.  10 year anniversary calls for lots of noise from all “truthers.”  What do you say!

So it’s ten years. It is my fervent wish that retribution could be exacted upon Knox and her family. It would be wonderful if there was somebody out there who would take this matter into their own hands and exact revenge. My hope on this sickening anniversary is that Knox will suffer just as she made Meredith suffer.  Not just her but her family as well even by proxy.

Hi whatswisdom

Sure thing to Dan Barry. Good work. We can load him for bear very quickly.

Please do point him to the 30+ links to the hoaxes in our right column (including the continuing Netflixhoax series which will soon incite a lot of new reporting) and maybe this post for starters.

Obviously I’m only a couple of miles away if he seeks interviews quickly, do advise me?

Hugely encouraging signs that some actual journalism may break out via Dan Barry at the NYT. I’ll keep everything crossed that’s crossable for a good outcome here.

It also gladdened my heart to see a comment from Grahame Rhodes. I had not read anything from you in a while Grahame and you clearly remain focussed, unflinching and righteously vitriolic regarding all things connected to Knox.

Your frustration bleeds from every word and you have obviously paid a price previously for being so outspoken with warnings from law enforcement. Personally, I’m delighted to see you drop by, even if I worry on your behalf that you might bring more close attention from law enforcement on to you by the hard hitting nature of what you say. I think I’m clearly more worried than you are in fairness!

As I think Pete has said before, the wheels of justice grind very slowly with everything and everyone connected to this case. I remain of the opinion that justice, in some form or another, will be visited upon Knox and her cabal and Sollecito and his rag bag family of ne’er do wells. Hopefully we’ll all still be around when the time comes but oh boy, how we will celebrate.

I missed putting a candle in the window for Meredith on her anniversary this year due to the death of my much loved aunty diverting my attention.

Instead, I will place my candle on the evening of 28 December which would have been her birthday. As her sister Stephanie recently said, they do not mark the anniversary of her death but instead celebrate her life on her birthday each year. This year I’ll do the same as my own small mark of respect.

So top mafioso Toto Riina has just died in a Sicilian prison. He was the father-in-law of the hapless Anthony Ciavarello of the report above,

https://www.thedailybeast.com/the-boss-of-bosses-dies-will-sicilys-mafia-turn-to-the-us-for-leadership

A mass-murderer, an attempt to free him to die with honor (really) had bombed out. He will be buried in the town of Corleone (really) though not with Catholic rites.

Barbie Nadeau says the buzz is that the remaining Sicilians might try to link up with the remaining traditional American mafia - which like the Canadian mafia have not been faring well.

Power had already ebbed from the Sollecitos after RS’s uncle was snuffed in Montreal. Should we expect soon more pleas for cash soon?
