Ciao,

Very good work, Pete.
This last video was very informative about what AK feel was happening during her interrogation, and that seems to me not to be significantly different from what for example is seen in many ‘48 hours’ videos of interrogations of murder suspects in US.

Best, Fiori

Hi Fiori, yes, similar claims have been known to be made by defendants in the US.

In both countries these day, police are pretty careful to cover themselves with audiotape and videotape.

In this particular case, after various police witnesses denied earlier in the trial that there was any mistreatment on the lines Knox claimed, an investigation was opened.

It is still ongoing, and if there is audio and video proof that Knox made spurious charges earlier (these claims today are protected) she may face another charge.

She never lodged a complaint about mistreatment, and her lawyers backed away from the claim. Today it appears to be front and center again.

interesting that when she moves into the more fictional portion of her testimony here, suddenly she is all gusty sighs and hand-waving.
And sounding really crabby about it all - the kind of tactics that probably work with her mommy.
(“Gosh, I don’t want to keep asking her about this stuff, because she’s getting all crabby about it.”)

First post, longtime lurking….  From what i remember of this video, AK was addressing the jury and got annoyed (but cooled it) at having to break the flow of her discourse to wait for the translator to translate and eventually AK preemptorily took over in her beginner Italian so that she could maintain the energy herself (without pauses where listeners could react or question to what they heard, as if the longer and stronger she talked the more she could talk away the evidence by use of the tone of her voice and her facial expressions).

If it were me I might want to let the translator do the talking to make sure my points were made clearly in Italian, not “grabbing the mike” to persuade them myself.  Sort of like the cliche of Americans speaking LOUDLY in English to residents in foreign countries, who actually heard very well but speak no English.

And a question that occured to me:  that underwear, purchased after they had been to the police station, did AK and RS actually buy it, who paid for it and how?  cash or charge?  Did they ever find the missing 300 or 400 euros that was MK’s rent?
