John Kerchers Book “Meredith” Is Published In London; US + Italian Publishers Eager To Follow

Above: Meredith’s birthplace. Southwark, on the south bank of the Thames. She very much reflected this spirit.

John Kercher’s book is available from today in the UK and on Amazon Kindle via the links at the top of the page here. We will be posting some excerpts and reviews. We would welcome submissions from anyone waiting for a good opportunity to to do their part. We are all volunteers here.

First glance at the Kindle version suggests this fine book was highly worth the wait and it will become definitive. A huge presence. It shows what a rising star of a woman was cut down, the victim of an arrogant cruel deed by people not even half of her stature.

“Meredith” is a stunning and heartbreaking book. Thank you John for sharing Meredith’s story with the world.

I am in the midst of reading John Kercher’s book, Meredith, now.

This book is so moving, so touching to the core. When Mr. Kercher and the people who knew Meredith describe her, I find myself with an ache to hear her laugh, her voice, just once.

What a remarkable girl, what an incredible young woman she was.

RIP Meredith. Today is a good day for you. Your father has done you proud, girl.

Many, MANY thanks to John Kercher for sharing Meredith.  The world thanks you.

I hope that people in the US will have a different take on the crime after reading the book.  I think people forget what terrible things people can do when on drugs, things they would never consider otherwise.

I just watched a show on TV about a young girl, age 15, who got into drugs with an older boyfriend.  One night after taking LSD she either helped, or stood by while her 19 year old boyfriend killed her mother, then took off with him on a wild 5 days of drug-taking, spending her mother’s money and fleeing from state to state before they were all apprehended.

The third young man involved testified against the other two and they were all found guilty and the boyfriend sentenced to death.  This all took place about an hour from where I live, in a ‘nice’ neighborhood.  The mother’s only fault was being too lenient with the rebellious daughter.  The mother was considered to be one of the nicest women ever and very kind with her daughters.

Now the daughter cries about wanting to see/hold her mother again, now that she is in jail, off drugs and away from the boyfriend…..her attorney dressed her up in a pink conservative outfit for the trial, but to no avail, she was found guilty but of ‘third degree murder’.  There was no DNA evidence.  The kitchen had been cleaned with bleach.  The body found 12 days later in the woods in a trash can.  So terrible.

Fabulous book. Lots of tears. TJMK is also honoured, as it should be, for enabling the Kerchers, and the rest of the world, to keep abreast of the developments throughout the trial and the appeal.  Meredith was a beautiful girl and had so much to offer the world.  The Trust Fund is an excellent idea and I hope it gets off the ground in Meredith’s honour.  I would be proud to say I contributed (in buying this book) to this trust.  I hope no-one else has to go through the same dreadful circumstances that the Kerchers have in finding Justice for Meredith, but sadly, I know that life is not as fair or simple as that.

I am halfway through the book right now and it is amazing. John Kercher brings Meredith alive for the readers through the stories and anecdotes.

I could actually imagine her doing all the things he talks about. It is a lovely book and a must read for anyone who wishes to know about Meredith.

Certain parts of the book moved me to tears and I found myself hoping that noone else would ever have to go through what the family did.

I will be posting a review on Amazon as soon as I finish reading.

I think it goes beyond saying that John Kercher, Meredith’s father, just knows instinctively who killed his daughter.
He has been privy to a lot of evidence we haven’t been, in this case.
I would say he is immune to any conceived press or media bias.
A father knows - just as any parent knows their child is lying.
