Several PMF posters have posted screenshots of the IM exchanges between Raffaele and Kelsey (check out pages 56-60 on PMF.org).

I guess what amazes me in the end is how little control Sollecito’s handlers have been able to exercise over him.  While he’s an adult and technically allowed to do whatever he sees fit, his situation is fragile at best. 

Did no one explain to him that obtaining US citizenship is a long, complicated, and intrusive process which doesn’t result in immunity from extradition? Did no one supervise him in the US? Did no one read his book before it was published?

Hopefully evidence that Sollecito was indeed trying to evade justice (as we inferred a long time ago, when he was trying to set up a business in Ticino, and more recently, due to his trips to the Dominican Republic) will lead to his passport being withdrawn. 

Perhaps if it comes down to him serving time while Knox is drawing things out via the extradition process, he’ll be more inclined to talk, as he’d have nothing to lose at that point.

Sollecito is indeed “Honor Bound” but not to Amanda, but rather to Meredith and her family, to tell the truth. I wonder when, or if, he’ll realize that?

I know people will be digging dirt on Kelsey and I am ok with that. She has a few dirty little secrets.

Maybe she IS a plant. Maybe she is just immature.

I am unclear about her illness. First she told RS she had sepsis and then a kidney operation.

Kelsey Kay lives in Coeur D’ Alene in Idaho. I know it, its a pretty town on a lake in the mountains of northern Idaho, quite close to the Canadian border. Idaho’s richest citizen, a resort developer, run his business on a huge houseboat there.

The two became good friends although they never met. “He made me feel really at ease. Talked about everything and was very polite”.

Then the request: the marriage would have been ideal to avoid jail time. “I’d taken it as a joke” said Kelsey. The two decided to meet. “I was very nervous. At the airport I was wondering what I was doing”.

Once in Coeur D’Alene, Sollecito kissed Kelsey passionately and asked her to marry him again. “He acted as if we were engaged, he introduced me as his girlfriend”.

Raffaele had asked the girl to sign a prenuptial agreement that required them to stay together for three years (the time required for citizenship).

Other conditions were also specified: for example, to wear sunglasses outside the home and not to be recognized; in case of divorce to pay $20,000.

But it all foundered when Sollecito discovered that Kelsey had a problem with the justice system. Raffaele went berserk and started to cry. She then ended the story, even though he claimed to love her.

The girl said that at that point Raffaele headed off to the Dominican Republic to seek another wife.

My wife is a foreign national. One of the questions on the application is have you ever been arrested for a crime of moral turpitude? Which murder would defintely fit with. It probably would have been denied based on that.

I’m missing something.  Could someone explain to me what possible benefit Sollecito could derive from an American citizenship?  It’s true that, here in America, juries frequently let murders off, but I don’t think the extradition process would involve a jury(?).

Wouldn’t he be better off acquiring citizenship in a country that doesn’t have an extradition treaty with Italy?

When I first visited the American Consulate for a visa (that was long long ago), the form had a question (near the end) whether I have been ever arrested for prostitution or pimping? There was an explanatory footnote that said if you answered yes, it does not mean that your visa will be denied; you will be asked to appear for an interview.

I received my B-1 visa on the spot. Next year my J-1 visa application was denied. It was granted after about 4 months on an appeal to the ambassador.

I do believe that everything depends on the mood of the visa officer at that particular moment. It does not follow any rules.

Extremely interesting, Vivianna’s suggestion above repeated by Graham and others, that a locked-up Sollecito might become very ticked off at an on-the-loose Amanda, and really drop her in it. 

We’re told that Sollecito is very unlikely to be allowed out of Italy again before the verdict next thursday, even without a judicial restraining order.  An immediate arrest warrant for both of them if confirmed guilty now seems inevitable.

So much for their foolish taunting PR hard line, legal dirty tricks,and myriad lies and false accusations of crimes, not least in their ill-advised books.

This must be coming as quite a shock to Sollecito’s latest girlfriend of convenience, Greta Menegaldo, who “conveniently” has family in Latin America. That fact may have been what caught Sollecito’s eye. Sorree Greta.

Actually, Coeur d’Alene is more than 100 miles from the Canadian border BUT it is only 30 miles or so from Spokane, Washington. Spokane is the unofficial capital of Eastern Washington and the home of Gonzaga, a Catholic University from which Candace Dempsey graduated. A couple of other Knox supporters hail from there - the Catholics circling their wagons, I guess. Eastern Washington is the “red” part of Washington state. I find it interesting that Sollecito gravitated in that direction in his ill-advised quest for a marriage of convenience. I also find it interesting that he would think this solution could work, just as Francesco Sforza apparently thought. It is well known that Sforza (aka Frank Sfarzo) used money donated to his bogus cause to come to America in search of asylum. For both Sforza and Sollecito, things have ended badly. Whatever Kelsey Kay’s motive or “past”, these text messages provide proof that Sollecito is indeed a flight risk. I am hoping for a guilty verdict and hope he is taken into custody immediately. I travel through Coeur d’Alene frequently and the thought of Sollecito being there gives me the creeps.

It’s great to see Kelsey Kay’s story being picked up by the mainstream media in Italy. It should ensure that Sollecito is back in the slammer this time next week. Thanks to all the people who tweeted journalists and media organisations in Italy and made them aware of Sollecito’s plans to evade justice.

Once Sollecito opens up a bit, Guede will follow.

I hope the great playboy had his life’s quota of fun and is ready to spend some quiet time with new friends.

Once the kid is well taken care of, the other kid will understand. Naturally but slowly.

Just one more week. I am not impatient.

I’ve always suspected Sollecito would turn on Knox once he was in custody.  This sad episode is even more of an indication that that’s what he’ll do.  Looks like we’ll find out for sure very soon.

Francesco Sollecito replies to the statement of the American girl. “All falsehoods” said Francesco Sollecito, the father of Raffaele. “My son has never asked Amanda to marry him”.

The man has continued in recent years to say that his son has no intention of going abroad to escape Italian justice (referring to photos that portray Raffaele in the Caribbean and the United States).

He adds also, referring to Kelsey Key who made the revelation after claiming a refusal by Amanda to Raffaele when he asked her to marry him: “They met via Facebook and he was only acquainted with her via the social network.”

Unfortunately for Francesco, the text messages quoted above and elsewhere belie him. It was Raffaele who was trying to put one over at the time, not Kelsey Kay.

It is also reported that Raffaele and probably Francesco wont be in court next thursday, they will wait to hear the verdict at their home in Bisceglie.

Their lawyer Maori seemed to threaten they might sue Kelsey Kay for extortion. You can relax, Kelsey. They have made many such threats. Wheres their NYC suit against Lifetime for the movie?

What I get from this is Sollecito has been so used to getting his own way that he is just unable to even come to terms with things working against him. Therefore I predict that his fall will be complete and terrible since he obviously is terrified of going to jail and mixing with the likes of Aviello and or Alessi. They were quite open in their attraction to Sollecito who, if jail is anything I imagine, will get their hooks into him very quickly. Of course Knox will suffer the same fate (With any luck) Roll on the end of the month because that’s when the story will really start

The newspaper has openly supported Amanda Knox whilst being completely ignorant of the basic facts of the case. For example, the newspaper falsely claimed that Rudy Guede had pleaded guilty in one of its editorials:

“If Italy seeks extradition of Knox, the U.S. government should look closely at the sad, bizarre course of this case and deny the request.

Her 2009 conviction was overturned in 2011 because of fundamental flaws in the evidence against her and her one-time Italian boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito.

Kelsey Kay, wow just wow.

Kelsey’s disgusted feelings of hurt and indignation seem real enough in her interview. Not everything about her feels kosher but her honesty seems genuine when she exposes Raffaele’s hot anger toward Amanda who rebuffed his marriage proposal. Raf was incensed when Amanda refused to help keep him out of prison. He thought he could trust that fox. Raffaele condemns that cold-hearted Knox with real indignation which seems to be coming from a place of bitter resentment. Raffaele must feel that she refuses to protect him with the small effort of signing marriage papers after he went to prison for four years to protect her.

Kelsey Amanda Kay (that is her middle name, Amanda) is an Amanda scorned. Raffaele is a lover scorned or rather scorched.

He revealed to Kelsey his green card plan to escape Italian justice, he showed Kelsey a pre-nup which sobered her, she backed off, Raf disappeared back to Italy and the romance lagged. She finally made him admit he was seeing another woman yet keeping her on tenterhooks hoping for a future with him. She went into histrionic meltdown texting vituperation. He admitted the only reason he flew to see her was to set up a marriage to acquire U.S. citizenship in an eleventh hour bid to escape Italian prison. Then Kelsey revealed this to Radar. Her revelations of treachery and deceit included the news that only a few months before he proposed to Kelsey, Raffaele proposed marriage to Amanda Knox, and was irate when she rejected him right when he needed her the most. So much for gratitude or honor among thieves. Foxy may face payback for this decision against former loverboy. Two can play that game.

Kelsey administers a football website for the San Francisco 49ers. She’s a surprisingly good sports writer with a witty voice and sharp instincts for trading athletes. She seems to understand the politics of American NFL teams. She claims to be a good predictor of talent. Her football acumen makes her a rare bird in normally a men’s realm. She said she was trying to join a Fantasy Football League but no guys would allow her to compete. She has some bright writing on her blog about the 49ers. Other than the bad modern habit of profanity and some coarse references, her writing is lively, fun and informative.

Kelsey also aspires to a modeling career with glamor photos on Facebook. She is young and attractive.

Kelsey is extremely articulate in the interview with Radar Online where she denounces Sollecito as a total user and con artist who tricked her and strung her along.

She convincingly describes Raffaele as a fake lover searching for a visa and a marriage of convenience to save his life. Despite Kelsey’s woman scorned bit, she dispassionately elaborated in clear detail a six-month saga of phoniness that Raf used with her while he was also chasing after other women with the same aim. His aim was citizenship somewhere besides Italy to avoid prison a bit longer.

Kelsey may be a selfseeking fraudster in her own right, the vote’s not in on that yet, at least mine isn’t. She claims to believe Raf is innocent, says she has read his book several times, and that she prays for him. I think it’s just a line she uses. Her body language in photos with Raffaele shows her stiff and embarrassed beside him. She looks either ashamed, slightly afraid or guilty. In the same photo he’s holding a warm arm around her and grinning happily. Maybe she had gotten in too deep too fast with this famous stranger and already regretted it.

Whatever her motives in spilling her guts to Radar Online, Kelsey did the world a favor by revealing the lies told by Raffaele in his bride-shopping to avoid justice. If Kelsey can be believed, Raf even told her to lie about the time and place of their first meeting and to pretend she met him months earlier in March 2013 in a bar in Seattle called Montana’s. So lies are no big deal to Raf and he goes on lying to several women about his intentions.

The pretty blonde Italian student he met at University of Verona who has the family in South America he might flee to, has he given her a bracelet too like he gave the fiancée from Idaho?

Kelsey may have her own angle for spilling dirt on Raffaele (money, fame, attention?) but regardless of her dubious motives the truth is spilling out about Raffaele’s mail order bride stunt and his comfort level with deception. This may ruffle a few feathers.

Also Kelsey better wake up and smell the coffee about men in general, she has a child to consider. She should stop dallying with men charged with murder and jailbirds. Maybe she’ll wise up, but if nothing else she helped people learn that Raf has finally waked up and smelled the coffee about Amanda Knox and he is fiercely angry with Miss Knox, and now with Kelsey to a lesser degree.
