Near End To The Libyan Civil War Is Welcome Good News In Italy

Posted by Peter Quennell

Stocks surged over three percent today on the Milan Stock Exchange as Italy’s former colony once again seems set for political change.

As Reuters explains Italy is one of the largest foreign investors in Libya. If the war for control of Libya is indeed over, this promises cheaper oil in Italy and throughout the world.

Also an end to the refugee influx in to the south of Italy, the financial coping for which has been a sore point with France. At one point thousands of desperate Libyans a day were crossing over, and quite a few died.

Italian aid is expected to play a large role in moving the new Libyan government and civil society forward.

Considering how much trouble 😊 I got over my ‘astrology’ comments, there was a further (friendly) discussion at PMF.Org when I was asked what the heavens had to say about so many own-goals being scored by the Amandii. I said well, some Cancers were going through a rough time (Amanda is one) so whatever she’s going through would affect her collective.

And since astrology is a theoretical science, it will never be ‘proven’ as there are indeed too many variables, so I’ll avoid any blanket statements as to how, or when.

But, shortly after I said that, the eastern seaboard of the U.S. was struck by a rare earthquake and the Washington Monument cracked. And the US is a Cancer country, born on July 4.

So, if astrology is just a karmic map, I can say the U.S., (and Amanda Knox) is in for some interesting times!

after reading on this website, I have curiosity to attend a court session. In the end it is only 3 hours by car from where I live.

Italy deserves some good news. I didn’t realize the north African turmoil had hit Italy so directly. Wouldn’t it be great if they found oil off the Italian coast to refill state coffers for aid to refugees or better yet, loans to Libya to stabilize itself.

After my brief visit to Malta in December 2010, the news said Malta was receiving refugees from the Egyptian crisis, the Arab spring. I believe that was April 2011. I could only think, “Where will a tiny island like Malta put all those people?”

They are drilling for oil in the Mediterranean around Malta.

Hi Giuseppe. Sure it would be great if you attend court in early September and send us along a report. We have good contacts around Perugia of course and have carried our own courtroom reports before.

Perhaps take care to keep at arms length from the increasingly scary David Anderson who has a fantasist version of a “beautiful” Amanda Knox in his head and not much on the real facts of the case.
