She Really Was Special… Our Thoughts Are With The Kerchers

Always smiling! There seem no shots of her at all not smiling.

New York is full of smiling people. If she had ever got the chance to visit, Meredith would have fit right in.

Certainly Pete…my heart goes out to the Kercher family..another Christmas without her. Although, whilst she may be gone, Meredith is definitely not forgotten…

She really does look quite Italian, she must have felt so much at home there in that attractive country. All the Italians I know are cheerful too, fun people, and very kind.

I’d just like to echo Pete’s sentiments. This time of year must be particularly difficult for Meredith’s family. I hope that justice is served in the New Year.

So now it’s Christmas, a time for families to reunite and be happy. But one family will not be able to enjoy because they are missing a most loved one.And they will be missing her forever.

For Meredith will never be able to join her family on Christmas, nor on any other day. She can’t write diaries, poetry or act in films. Meredith has not been allowed to hope, dream, grow up and age because her life was erased by some evil minds, who have brutally and thoughtlessly taken her life.

I’ve had a wonderful warm and loving Christmas and I wish the Kerchers could have enjoyed also, but I know they haven’t been able to. It makes me so sad.

Nicki is right, there’ll be fifty years of sadness ahead for the Kerchers at every festival and anniversary. All the joyful and wonderful things our family did yesterday is only making me want all the more to see full life sentences for the defendants if found guilty. Much more than 30 years.

Those who are urging us to give them a break are saying they were sweet kids and stuff and and it wasnt planned. Maybe it was not planned, but it looks to me more evil than any planned crime I know of. Torture and extreme humiliation, extreme pain, dieing slowly when they could have saved her, and then the glee and pride later. If guilty they will not want to show their faces in society again ever.

Thanks Pete.  Along with everyone else, my thoughts about the Kerchers have been very frequent over this holiday season. We can hope they were given the space and privacy to share this sad time without their beautiful daughter… sans interference.

Pete, your continuing diligence to keep Meredith and her family first and foremost are so appreciated.  Other media reporting on this tragedy should sit up and take note. Meredith Kercher is the most important person in this case. Now and forever.

I find it quite striking that there hasn’t been any type of statement along the lines of “Our thoughts are with the Kercher family at this time”
From the Knox/Mellas family - not any single thing.

Instead they ok a press release talking about how wrapped presents are not allowed in prison and they are trying to get some underwear to their poor victim daughter.

It is as repugnant as Edda Mellas stating to the worlds media that Knox will not offer any condolences to the Kercher family unless she is released from prison.

It speaks volumes to me about these people and comes as no surprise that an accused murderer and sex criminal has grown up in their midst with them supposedly not noticing anything strange about her behaviour.

I agree with Deathfish’s comments about the insensitivity of Miss Knox’s parents. Besides extolling Miss Knox’s Christmas wish list, they should have made a statement of sincere sympathy for Miss Kercher’s parents. Even if we presume AK47 to be totally innocent, the fact is that her roommate was brutally killed. Perhaps, using this scenario, the killer was after their daughter and found Miss Kercher instead. They are lucky to still have their daughter alive and should heartily acknowledge the sad loss of Miss Kercher’s parents. Quite frankly, I would be profoundly sympathetic even if I sadly knew my daughter was involved. It is the way I was raised.

I wish peace for the family of Meredith Kercher, and justice fairly dispensed.

This is my first post so let me start by offering my heartfelt sympathy to the Kercher family. Merdith was beautiful and from what I have read it sounds like Meredith was a beautiful person on the inside. Sounds like she had strength and character with solid moral values. What a great credit to her family! There are so many people the world over who have heard this story and I’m sure they all can see that Meredith Kercher was a shining star.
