Thanks for photo of Meredith with snow on her hair. Powerful music video, prophetic.

Two songs at Meredith’s funeral were, “For the Beauty of the Earth,” and “Abide with Me.”

Jesus Christ said that if anyone believes in Him, that person will never die, but will live forever. I want to think Meredith, whose funeral was at St. John the Baptist Church, accepted Christ’s promise, and got her victory over death.

Amen Hopeful!  I agree fully with everything you said.  I hope we can all meet Meredith in Heaven one day!

this may sound cheesy to some, but is there anyway those of us who have been faithfully following this case and who constantly think of meredith and her family can remember her on december 4th collectively.  i’m not sure how but something international that crosses all borders and nationalities - something concrete and meaningful.

My condolennces to Meredith’s family and friends. The occassion is a sad one for those who knew her and those who didn’t, but were touched by her lovely person and her memory.
I too, like Hopeful and Chira, agree that for such an innocent, lovely, good, and examplary young girl as Meredith, there can only be a better place of eternal abode.

Gramjan,  I share your thoughts but don’t have any ideas what we can all do together. For me, when others post a string of continuous messages to the Kercher family I feel connected with everyone. 

I yearn to know more about Meredith, I feel she must have been a fascinating young lady and I just love hearing about her. It’s easy to light a candle, I’ve done that but it is only you and perhaps your spouse.  I think this will be a time to connect.  I trust we will all be happy and posting - beyond that I wish I could take out a billboard featuring Meredith Kercher - the true victim of this crime.

Gramjan, it’s good of you to suggest a December 4th memorial of some kind for Meredith.

I’m open to suggestions, but I have no ideas of my own. Perhaps something could be done to honor her of an international nature. If you find a worthwhile cause that seems appropriate, I will surely consider it and I’ll try to contribute or support it.

A candle lit for Meredith (re: Prof. Snape) with an online post stating time and date, would be an encouragement to her camp. $$$ or service to local charity in her name (perhaps victims of violent crime or something the Kerchers would support?)—I think it’s a lovely thought on your part. 

Don’t get discouraged, even if it remains individual acts. This vibrant website is keeping her memory alive. I tell all my family about her case.

I second the suggestion of making a small donation to a charity somehow connectyed with this sad story.
Perhaps as was already suggeted a charity fighting violenceagainst women, or to a scholarship program for gifted sutdents in Meredith’s name.
That way we each have given a piece of our wealth to commemorate the life of a lovely young woman who never got to live out her drams.

Well said Hopeful and LReik - a charitable donnation is most appropriate, and a constructive way of showing our appreciation for Meredith and her memory; a contributing to our hope for justice and a better world. From good persons come good things, and Meredith’s good nature will live among us in her memory; inspiring us, through her kind and generous character, and reminding us, for the need to help others. I’ll make a contribution to that - to her memory, and her inspirational character.

Hi Scooby. That looks like our version at top here which we translated from the Italian. Mr Maresca released the statement only in Italian as far as we know, and versions of it appeared quite widely in the Italian media.

Hi Scooby. No I think it’s a very useful comment. It showed that Metro used us as a source.

I can tell we’re the source because of the precise wording which we adjusted several times in the translation.

Otherwise the Kercher family statement which we found moving and indicative was not read in the UK or in the US.
