Context
We are not really too surprised that Sollecito caves, as we observe the Sollecito camp increasingly panicked now by the appeal of Dr Galati, Still, thanks a lot Katie Couric team insiders! And thanks a lot Sollecito-camp moles!
And a great job on the couch, Katie Couric. You managed to winkle out the truth and respect the REAL victim even if Raffaele seemed a little tongue-tied…

A real journalistic coup Kermit! Fits with all we are hearing.
Growing signs Raffaele Sollecito’s father Francesco and his lead lawyer Giulia Bongiorno realise Dr Galati’s monster of an appeal to the Supreme Court has Raffaele in a REALLY big hole in absence of a credible alibi or explanation for the mountain of evidence.
The Knox-Mellases are still progressing very naively and self-destructively with their mad-dog PR campaign.
Francesco Sollecito already faces court action for attempted subversion of justice, and Giulia Bongiorno could too if Aviello’s claims of bribes offered for false testimony hold up.
Italian watchers are expecting Francesco to throw Amanda Knox under the bus to save his son and himself as hinted at before. Strong signs of this in the Sollecito book, which makes zero legal or factual sense otherwise.
Very well done Kermit!
Hello I do not have the powerpoint programme. Is there some other format i may be able to use to read Kermits points.
The sense I have from Italian TV news re his book is Raffaele is so annoyed with himself for having a fuzzy memory of the night of 1st Nov., 2007 because of smoking pot. So indignant he felt when he arrived at the jailhouse to commence his sentence.
Also hinting that he is really not sure if amanda was with him all night long.
So it might be true that his Papa may be getting ready to hurl AK under the bus after all.
I would love to read Kermits points.
<center> Hi Mason, here is the Powerpoint Viewer for free download: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13 </center>
Thank you once again, Kermit! Outstanding work.
The PPT file can be saved as a PDF (I’ve done it for myself) and most of the “animation” is preserved.
Perhaps a PDF version can be made available for download here, as well.
Thanks to Pete, Kermit, and everyone involved with Meredith’s cause for your heart-felt efforts.
Thanks Kermit for this excellent PowerPoint presentation. I hope Katie Couric has the courage and integrity to ask Raffaele Sollecito some tough questions and not toss him softball questions.
This is a fun and informative presentation as only Kermit could do it. I like the postscript too and might like to use that as a jumping off point for my own post on 10 simple questions Katie should ask Raffaele Sollecito.

Regarding Powerpoint playback on Mac, I’ve heard that you can download the free trial of Office for Mac 2011, choose just to install Powerpoint, and then view and edit the files. When the trial ends, it will still work as a free Powerpoint Viewer. This is better than any of the other options for viewing Powerpoint files on Mac, none of which renders perfectly.
I will be happy if Katie asks any two of the questions Kermit has posed.
Am I asking for too much?
Steve Harvey is a talented stand-up comedian and actor and author.
He has now overtaken Katie’s ratings in the new talk-shows in the 3:00 pm time slot.
Watch this brave routine (which amazingly his audience ate up) and imagine Katie’s ratings if she got to work on RS or AK in this way.
It’s way past time somebody did - go for it, Katie. Now’s your great chance.

Your Sneak Preview took me in at first until fictitious Katie said, “...whomever signed…”
I doubt if she’ll go by the script. OJ Simpson, metaphorically speaking, is over & done—he’s dead. Whatever Katie herself believes, she is mindful of an audience for whom Amanda is very much alive, thereby involving Sollecito.
Predictions, as someone has said, are dangerous, especially about the future, but here are mine:
Sollecito wins a chance to launch his book here but it won’t suffice to make it successful. As excerpts have shown, it’s not exciting or deep or revealing. It’s all been said before. And he does compromise Amanda once or twice.
Whereas Amanda’s book is bound to sell hugely. How could it not? She’s the glamour-puss & actress, the Wholesome American Girl of many faces & poses who loves to invent a story & has probably invented a good one by now.
Since her book comes out before the Italian Supreme Court reviews her case, its popular success may make a difference in their decision, although we hope not.
Kermit, Thank you for your presentation! Typically entertaining and succinct. I, too, sent an email to Couric.
The tree we planted for Meredith grows stronger and taller. I say a prayer when I water it. I pray that Meredith’s lovely family be surrounded with love and light and that the negativity caused by her murderers will not wear them down. May justice prevail.
I think you are right;
“Whereas Amanda’s book is bound to sell hugely. How could it not? She’s the glamour-puss & actress, the Wholesome American Girl of many faces & poses who loves to invent a story & has probably invented a good one by now.”
Nothing succeeds like success. She has been hugely successful. At least in the US.
Contrary to the others’ comment, I think it is AK who has been successful in manipulating both RS and RG. What they say does not count anymore. They are no more of any use to her. And RS knows it.
The one simple point the supreme court will ponder: is it worth it?
But as you say, predictions are dangerous.
Actors are so fortunate. They can choose whether they will appear in tragedy or in comedy, whether they will suffer or make merry, laugh or shed tears. But in real life it is different. Most men and women are forced to perform parts for which they have no qualifications. Our Guildensterns play Hamlet for us, and our Hamlets have to jest like Prince Hal. The world is a stage, but the play is badly cast.
I do think there is a correlation between how well Sollecito’s book sells and how well Knox’s will do. If Sollecito’s book doesn’t sell I think it augurs poorly and HarperCollins will most likely not recoup their investment in brand Knox.
Excellent post Kermit, great presentation ! Hopefully Ms Couric will ask one or two of the questions you mention.
I have also emailed and tweeted Ms Couric directing her to both articles on TJMK regarding Sollecito’s up coming appearance on her show.
Great work all involved.

Fabulous; I like the mixture of brutal fact mixed in with sarcasm and irony. KC’s reputation has been put on a pedestal here, both as a journalist and as a public figure with both moral and ethical backbone.
Kermit’s presentation puts her in a position where she lives or dies based on the questions she asks….......I wonder if she and the Producers have two scripts for the show and are trying to determine which way to jump ?
If so, what are the criteria ?
Kermit,
Another outstanding Powerpoint to add to the collection of “must see items” for those that haven’t already…
I like Katie Couric and hope she’ll do the right thing and ask the difficult questions. I hope after this event airs, a review of the show will follow on this website as I am unable to watch it.
Perhaps my opinion of her will change…
Thanks again for all your hard work!
Tara
