Rob ridicules the tone of comments once quite commonly found on some other websites.
They seem to be declining sharply now, in the face of irritation in Italy and the remorseless unfolding of more and more of the evidence. Hard to believe they actually helped the defendants.
It is always worth remembering that the judge has the still-sealed 10,000 pages of evidence in front of him.
The defense teams have them, obviously, and the Kerchers’ lawyer. The defense teams seems to have become notably more cautious in light of those pages and Guede’s conviction.
But none of the media have seen the pages. Makes them more open to spin, but they too seem to be becoming more cautious. Not the Independent’s reporter, perhaps. But the others seem to be.
The CBS TV investigator actually wrote to us after the first Powerpoint show on Signora Nara’s testimony - testimony which the judge of course accepted as persuasive in Rudy Guede’s trial.
The investigator sounded a little ticked at us. But he did not argue against the facts in those first Powerpoints. Either he or CBS seem to have taken him off the case now.
